Landmark on Main Street is also home to three not-for-profit organizations that provide valuable community services to children and their families throughout the area.
The Port Washington Children's Center
As you pass by Landmark, you will see the delighted faces and voices of the Port Washington Children’s Center’s boys and girls as they enjoy playing outdoors. Toddlers, aged 18 to 36 months play in their own specially-designed section of the playground, pre-schoolers, aged 3 and 4 play on safe climbing units, and KidsPort kids, grades K — 6, play in their playground and the park.
If you were to visit each of the classrooms, you would see children eagerly engaged in art and music activities, listening to stories, reading their own books, building with blocks, engaging in dramatic play, as they learn to live cooperatively with one another. In KidsPort, you would see children doing homework, as well.
The Center is open daily from 7:15 am to 6:30 pm to accommodate parents’ working hours. Families from all segments of our community enroll their children in the Center so that they can work with the peace of mind that the children are in a safe, nurturing, educational setting. The excellent staff of the Children’s Center will help their children meet with success in elementary school.
The Port Washington Parent Resource Center
The Parent Resource Center is a non-profit parenting cooperative offering classes of all types: Mommy & Me, Music, Art, Drama, Movement, Sports, Cooking, Spanish, Parent-child and separation classes for children ages 0-7, open playtime, adult programs, discussion groups, and exercise with childcare provided and special family events. Please call 767-3808 for a copy of their newsletter, containing program and registration information. Financial assistance is available.

Council's Teen Center — AKA "The PiT"

Our Covid Policy is Changing on July 1, 2022
As of July 1, 2022, Landmark will no longer require proof of vaccination in order to attend our shows and events. Please note, some shows might still have specific restrictions as required by artists, so please check in advance of your visit.
Currently, we are open at full capacity to everyone who has been vaccinated against Covid. We will require proof of current vaccination status at entry, either with a vaccination card or the NYS Excelsior Pass or similar electronic system. Current CDC guidelines recommend masks for all vaccinated patrons of indoor events in our area. We do not have a non-vaccinated seating section, nor are we equipped to accept recent negative Covid tests. Should this guidance change by show day, we will adjust our policy accordingly. NYS Excelsior Pass info & signup here. Children under the age of 12 who are not currently eligible to receive a vaccine must be accompanied by a vaccinated adult and must wear a mask at all times.
All Landmark staff, performers, ushers and crew are fully vaccinated. Our theater air conditioning has been modified to meet the CDC’s MERV-13 filtration recommendation.
