Porch Light is an electric dance pop cover band with a wide range of music that gets people to put a smile on their face, get out of their chairs, and do some dancing. This afternoon, they are appearing as Porch Light LITE, an acoustic version of the band with more sparse equipment such as an upright Bass and cajon. Patty Atkins – Vocals
A web designer and social media manager by trade, Patty has also been a singer for over 25 years performing with a variety of rock bands across the island, and is a 10+year cast member of the Red Stocking Revue here in Port Washington. She currently performs in the band Porch Light as well as a few other projects in town.
Dr. Rich Atkins – Bass, Vocals
Rich plays 4- and 5-string fretted and fretless basses, double bass, and the Chapman Stick Touchboard. He started playing at age 12. In the 1980s, Atkins succumbed to the fascination with Emmett Chapman’s “The Stick.” Rich owns and uses two different 12-string Grand Sticks. In recent years, he has taken to the upright bass and uses it with acoustic and other rock acts. Atkins has been a member of groups such as Out Of Control, Mach III, The Irregular Bunch of Idiots, From The Top, The Zombie Flanders, The Escape, Pass The Poi, and currently plays with Porch Light (LITE), and Hat Trixx.
Stephen “Styx Madison” Bombardiere – Drums, Cajon, Bongos
Stephen started playing drums before recorded time. In high school he played in the concert band, jazz band, marching band, and pit orchestra. In the 80’s he played Punk/New Wave in the Boston bands The Guise and Women of the Opposite Sex. After moving back to New York, he played in the 90’s Swing band Beat Positive and the Cocktail Jazz band “The Richard Connick Trio.” He is currently a member of the Brooklyn based surf band Pass the Poi and the Port Washington cover band Porch Light/ Porch Light Lite. He loves Negril, gnocchi and long walks on short piers.
Glenn Fleischman is a local guitarist and owner of the Bach To Rock music school and recording studio. Glenn plays electric and acoustic guitar in a variety of settings including local cover band Porch Light, as well as pit guitarist for various musical productions. Musical credits include Grease, 1940’s Radio Hour, Once Upon A Mattress, Mythology Mixtape, 13, Big Fish, Seussical The Musical, Tommy, All Shook Up, Sweet Charity, Pippin, The Buddy Holly Story, Ring Of Fire and a live radio broadcast of War Of the Worlds.
