In a revue created by Stephen Deangelis just for us, Broadway cast members perform songs from the hit shows kids and families know and love.  

 

 

Scheduled performers are Major Attaway (longest running Genie in Aladdin), Todd Buonopane (ChicagoRodgers and Hammerstein’s CinderellaThe 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling BeeGrease); Sara Jean Ford (Christine Daae in The Phantom of the Opera; Jellylorum in Cats;  Smitty in How to Succeed in Business Without Really TryingA Little Night MusicFinian’s Rainbow), Keri Rene Fuller (Six the Musical), Kissy Simmons (longest running Nala in The Lion King). Musical Director/Accompanist will be Eugene Gwozdz.

 

CAST BIOS:

MAJOR ATTAWAY is a 20+ year veteran entertainer who began his career in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area. In 2016, Attaway made his Broadway debut in Disney’s Aladdin, playing and understudying the roles of Genie, Babkak, and the Sultan. In 2017 he took over the Tony Award-winning Genie role for three years, with that becoming the longest running actor in the role. He is currently the Voice of Audrey II in the hit Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors and also recently made his Carnegie Hall debut. He also played Fatty Arbuckle in NY City Center Encores! production of Mack and Mabel in 2020. Attaway has lent his voice talent to numerous projects, including as the voice of NuCalm, One Piece, Pokémon, Borderlands 3, The Pathfinder Series, Snack World, Bread Barbershop, Smite, Fairy Tail, Battleborn, and Dragon Ball Z Kai. On his Twitch Channel @IPlayedMajor he livestreams games which he voices in character, as well as plays with and against fans! Attaway can also be seen in an upcoming HBO series as well as in the Netflix original series “Orange is the New Black”.

 

 

 

 

TODD BUONOPANE is an actor, singer and educator. He has appeared on Broadway as Jean-Michel in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Roger in Grease, Amos in Chicago and many characters in  …Spelling Bee. He has toured the U.S. with The Play That Goes WrongGodspell and Chicago (which he has also done in Dubai, Seoul and Tokyo).Off-Broadway credits include The Butter & Egg Man, Henry & Mudge, and The New Yorkers at City Center Encores!  Regionally, he has performed at the Alliance, The Old Globe, Asolo Rep, MUNY, Signature, Pasadena Playhouse, 5th Avenue, Ordway, Papermill Playhouse, Goodspeed, Maine State and Barrington. TV credits include roles on “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”, “Braindead”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”, and “30 Rock”(as Weinerslav)Todd is a Councilor for Actors’ Equity Association and a proud graduate of The University of Michigan.  He is the creator and star of a quarantine project called #BathtubTheatre.

 

 

 

 

 

 

SARA JEAN FORD is best known for starring as Christine Daaé on Broadway and on the National Tour of the The Phantom of the Opera. Other Broadway: Cats (Jellylorum), How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying  (Smitty), A Little Night Music (Mrs Anderssen, Anne/Petra cover) and Finian’s Rainbow (Arlene, Sharon cover). Off-Broadway: The Fantasticks (Luisa, Revival Cast Recording). Broadway in Chicago: Wicked (Glinda/Nessarose cover). Regional: The Music Man (Marian), Into The Woods (Cinderella), Sunday in the Park With George (Dot), Candide (Cunegonde), Carousel (Carrie),and originated the role of Nellie Oleson in Little House on the Prairie: The Musical. Concerts: Dream of Now, Dream of Then:  Anyone Can Whistle at City Center Encores!; Defying Gravity: The Music of Stephen Schwartz and Eric Whitacre at Lincoln Center and Paradise Lost: Shadows and Wings at Carnegie Hall, Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre, and Walt Disney Concert Hall.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

KERI RENE FULLER most recently starred as Jane Seymour in the Broadway company of Six The Musical. Other Broadway: Jagged Little Pill (Swing); Waitress (Francine, u/s Jenna). National Tour: Cats (Grizabella). Regional credits include title of show (Heidi), Murder Ballad (Sara), Dogfight (Rose), Les Miserables (Eponine), Lizzie Borden (Lizzie), A Chorus Line (Maggie), Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (Rachel), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Helena), A Winter’s Tale (Perdita). TV: “Law & Order: SVU (Snowflake).

 

 

 

 

 

 

KISSY SIMMONS, a native Floridian, attended the University of South Florida on a Track and Field scholarship. She grew up playing the keyboard and singing in church. Before moving to NYC, she had a successful modeling career and played numerous roles in theatrical performance sin the Tamp Bay area. She was last seen on Broadway in The Lion King playing the role of Nala for nine years (which makes her the longest running Nala ever!). Ms. Simmons has appeared in several national commercials, print ads and voiceovers. TV/Film credits include “Smash”. “30 Rock”, “Hope & Faith” and “Six Degrees of Separation” to name a few. She currently appears around the world as a special guest vocalist in concerts produced by Disney on land and sea.
