Landmark on Main Street presents an All-New version of BROADWAY ON MAIN on Saturday, May 10th at 8 PM. This special edition will celebrate the unique contributions that Leading Ladies have made to Musical Theatre by showcasing the talents of five of Broadway’s finest female vocalists. Created for our venue by New York Casting Director and Producer Stephen DeAngelis, the cast will recreate their most memorable musical moments and career highlights as well as demonstrate their versatility, share backstage behind-the-scenes anecdotes and participate in an enlightening and entertaining question-and-answer session with our audience. Scheduled performers are Kennedy Caughell (Carole King in Beautiful: The Carole King MusicalNatasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1912Paradise Square), Chessa Metz (Suffs), Nya (Caroline, Or Change; “American Idol”), Jill Paice (An American in ParisMatilda The MusicalCurtainsThe 39 StepsThe Woman in White) and Elizabeth Teeter (Lydia Deetz in BeetlejuiceThe CrucibleThe AudienceMary Poppins). Musical Director/Accomanist will be Jon Balcourt. The evening will feature musical selections from classic and contemporary musicals including Beautiful; Les MiserablesWaitressMatildaWickedDreamgirlsThe Secret Garden; FrozenThe Light in the Piazza; Suffs and much more!!! Join us for what is certain to be an unforgettable evening for theatre lovers of all ages.

 

 

KENNEDY CAUGHELL starred as Carole King in the Broadway and National Touring production of Beautiful: the Carole King Musical.  She received BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University. Shortly after graduating, she performed across the nation and abroad as Heather in American Idiot. Kennedy then traveled the country by broomstick in the National tour of Wicked, playing the role of Elphaba. She has also performed on Broadway in Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 with Josh Groban and Paradise Square., and was most recently seen starring as Carole King in the Broadway and National Touring production of Beautiful: the Carole King Musical. Some of her favorite regional roles include Elsa in Frozen; Mary Poppins (Mary), White Christmas (Betty), Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Peter Pan (Peter), and Into the Woods (Little Red). TV: “Law & Order: SVU”, “Parked For Love”, and “The Outlier”.

 

 

 

 

 

CHESSA METZ is a singer-songwriter who made her Broadway debut in SUFFS. Regional: Ogunquit ( Ado Annie; Oklahoma!), NC Symphony (Mabel; The Pirates of Penzance). Also Elsa in Frozen in the middle of the ocean. Proud UNCSA grad and client of Lohne/Graham Management.

Her versatility in the Off-Broadway sensation Titanique, where she effortlessly left her mark on the stage. With new music on the horizon and a wave of thrilling projects in development, Nya is on the brink of redefining what it means to be a multi-hyphenate artist. Keep your eyes locked on her—this is only the beginning of a career destined for greatness.

STEPHEN DeANGELIS (Producer/Host) is pleased to return once again for this year’s event. He has produced and created over 300 different Broadway concerts at venues in New York and across the United States featuring a multitude of Broadway stars including many Tony Award and Drama Desk Award winners and nominees, stars from hit television series and films whose roots are on stage and Broadway’s fastest rising young performers. Throughout his career, he has worked with over 100,000 performers across all entertainment mediums. He is also the Producer and Host of At This Performance… , the critically acclaimed concert series that has showcased the talents and versatility of  over 1300 Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys, Understudies and Alternates since October 2003. His work as a Producer of the ongoing series and monthly residency was acknowledged in BroadwayWorld’s List of “Best Club, Cabaret and Concert” which they called “an artistic triumph that everyone should seek out and see”. Stephen is a member of the Association of Professional Arts Professionals.  He has cast over 3600 network television and radio commercials for Manhattan’s leading advertising agencies (including Grey Advertising/Senior Casting Director; Backer, Spielvogel & Bates. Inc,; Ted Bates Advertising and Ogilvy & Mather)  for such clients as Olive Garden, Red Lobster, E*Trade, Febreze, Cover Girl, Pantene, Advil, Robitussin, Downy, Flonase, Pringles, Gillette, Canon, Domino’s, Ivory, Campbell’s Soup, Xerox, Maybelline, Wendy’s, Arrid, Miller Beer, Colgate Palmolive, Warmer Lambert, Hewlett Packard and  DirecTV and has contributed to many historic and award-winning spots and campaigns including many which have been recognized with Platinum, Gold and Silver Lions at Cannes. Stephen also cast the six-time Emmy Award nominated Playhouse Disney series “Johnny and the Sprites” which aired on the Disney Channel. His work has been seen in New York and regionally in over 300 theatrical productions as well as numerous festival showcases, developmental workshops and staged readings. Other credits include the World AIDS Day All-Star concert revivals of Pippin and The Secret Garden, two All-Star productions of Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens and the 25th Anniversary production of Hair, the All-Star concert version of Into the Woods, the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Tommy album as well as numerous productions for The Drama League Directors Project. He is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and is the only Casting Director who is also a member in SDC. He has staged musicals in major theatres across the country in Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Dallas and St. Louis and throughout New York and New England. Recent projects include directing the 32nd Annual Oscar Hammerstein Awards honoring Bernadette Peters and casting the world premiere production of Kowalski at Off-Broadway’s The Duke on 42nd Street and casting the world premiere production of One For My Baby at North Hollywood’s El Portal Theatre featuring the classic songs of the legendary Harold Arlen.
