A rare New York recital by noted Swedish pianist, Niklas Sivelöv.
Niklas Sivelöv is a pianist, recording artist and composer with more than 30 CD recordings to his credit along with hundreds of recitals and orchestral appearances at leading venues throughout the world. He has also 6 Symphonies and 5 Concertos among many other compositions. His most recent recordings include Beethoven, Bach, Haydn, Skriabin, and his own works. He was Knighted by the Queen of Denmark into the Order of Dannebrog and is the leader of the Piano Department at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
This recital will treat Port Washington audiences to world-class performances of music of Beethoven Bach, and Skriabin, as well as the music of Manhasset resident and Prof. of Music at the Aaron Copland School of Music (at Queens College) – Dr. Edward Smaldone.
Prof. Smaldone will provide commentary for the entire concert at the Landmark Theater, guiding the audience on this musical journey.
