Following the screening\, Jennifer Stybel will moderate a discussion with Reshma Saujani\, Nicole Asselta (Executive Director of the Parent Resource Center)\, and Jessica Melwani. \n‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ \n*please note: doors and bar will open at 6:30pm – program begins at 7pm. \nReshma Saujani is a leading activist\, the founder of Girls Who Code\, the founder and CEO of Moms First\, and executive producer of the new documentary No Country for Mothers. Named one of TIME’s Women of the Year in 2026\, Reshma has spent more than a decade building movements to fight for women and girls’ economic empowerment\, to close the gender gap in tech\, and most recently\, for the structural changes moms deserve including affordable child care\, paid leave\, and equal pay. She is a New York Times Bestselling author of several books including PAY UP\, Brave\, Not Perfect\, and the Girls Who Code book series. As a leading voice on women’s empowerment\, her 2023 Smith College Commencement speech on imposter syndrome has more than 18 million views\, and her influential TED talk\, “Teach girls bravery\, not perfection\,” has more than 54 million views globally.  Reshma began her career as an attorney and Democratic organizer. In 2010\, she surged onto the political scene as the first Indian American woman to run for U.S. Congress. Reshma lives in New York City with her husband\, Nihal; their sons\, Shaan and Sai; and their dog Steve. \n‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ \nJennifer Stybel is an entrepreneurial leader at the intersection of innovation and social impact\, with deep expertise in the care economy. Jennifer serves as Director of Program Strategy for Caregiving at Pivotal\, a group of social impact organizations founded by Melinda French Gates to accelerate the pace of social progress for women and young people. Jennifer’s portfolio of impact partners seeks to make caregiving more affordable for families in the U.S. by unlocking a once-in-a-generation level of investment into the care economy—to scale affordable innovations and make care a public good. Jennifer previously served as Executive Director of Rent the Runway Foundation and Project Entrepreneur focused on leveling the playing field for female founders. She has held leadership roles in tech and mission-driven organizations\, and advises early stage founders and investors. She holds a BA from Georgetown University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business\, and is proud to call Port Washington home. \n‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ \n  \nNicole D. Asselta\, LCSW\, RYT\, RCYT is the Executive Director of the Parent Resource Center (PRC) in Port Washington\, where she leads the organization’s administration\, programming\, community outreach\, and strategic planning. Passionate about strengthening families and building connected communities\, Nicole has dedicated more than 20 years to the PRC\, first serving as a board member\, then as a Head Teacher of the Stepping Stones preschool readiness program and the facilitator of the Mothers of Infants Support Group. Throughout her career\, Nicole has been committed to ensuring that families have access to the resources\, education\, and support they need to thrive. She believes deeply in the lifelong impact of investing in early childhood and in the power of strong parent-child relationships and supportive communities to shape healthy\, resilient families. Nicole earned her Master of Social Work from Hunter College and holds a Certificate in Bioethics and Medical Humanities from New York University. She also earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Molloy University and is both a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT)\, having completed her training through Yoga Polarity in Malverne\, New York. But her most rewarding work is of mom to two boys\, now newly-minted middle and high school students. Foundation. With the help of his collaborators\, he has tracked and written extensively about the major players and their practices involved in efforts to derail the implementation of New York’s Climate Act. He got involved in this campaign after converting his own home to all-electric operations and disconnecting his gas service. \n\nBillii Roberti is a LI homeowner with first-hand experience of tightening building envelopes\, solar PV\, and heat pumps. Her company\, Green Choices Consulting\, advises and navigates businesses and homeowners through renewable energy options.  Billii has been on the Town of Huntington Advisory Committee on Energy Efficiency\, Renewables & Sustainability since 2011 and is a founding member of the New York Geothermal Energy Organization (NY-GEO). She is also the coordinator of the Mothers Out Front Long Island Team working with the Renewable Heat Now campaign\, which promotes an equitable shift off burning fuels and the shift to all-electric buildings. She also volunteers with the Reimagine LIPA campaign\, which supports the transition of the Long Island Power Authority to a locally operated and controlled public utility.\n\nDr. Hildur Palsdottir is a nature-based educator\, climate activist\, community organizer and co-founder of ReWild Long Island. She is a founding steering committee member of Transition Town Port Washington and President of the Board of Trustees at The Science Museum of Long Island\, where she participates in stewarding the 34 acre Leeds Pond Preserve. She’s motivated to inspire future scientists to care for our natural world. Hildur contributes to an environmental column Earth Matters in the Island Now newspaper. Hildur completed her PhD in cellular bioenergetics at the Max-Planck Institute of Biophysics\, Germany in 2004. After post-doctoral research in the Life Sciences Division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory she worked as a research scientist at the New York University Medical School. In 2017 she founded Sol Center\, a nature-based healing arts center in Port Washington.  In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities with her family and friends. She especially enjoys bird watching\, wildlife tracking and gardening. \nMat is a classically trained French chef from the Ecole Supérieure de Cuisine Française in Paris.  Born and raised in Paris\, Mat’s 15 years of experience in the culinary and hospitality industries took him from Europe to Argentina and then to New York. Mat took a hiatus from restaurant life to run his family’s business and raise his three children\, but his passion for cooking brings him back to his roots to teach at The Cooking Lab.
