AFTERNOON T.E.A - THE MANY LIVES OF ROMEO & JULIET presented by MARILYN CARMINIO *LIVESTREAMING ONLY*This multi-media lecture examines the famous lovers of Verona in their many incarnations in film, theater, opera ballet & visual arts. Versions of the legend have existed since antiquity, but is the celebrated love story based in truth or fiction? Filled with beautiful clips, the story will come alive through the various art forms and interpreters who have given vice to the star-crossed pair over the centuries. Marilyn Carminio worked for many years at an international law firm where she developed and presented client servicetraining programs. She began her career as a NYC schoolteacher and went on to hold various positions at women's magazines such as Cosmopolitan, where she worked for Helen Gurley Brown, Elle Magazine, and New Woman. She has lectured at over 100 venues including: The Hutton House Lecture Series at C.W. Post, libraries throughout Long Island, the Roslyn Historical Society, Meadowbrook Pointe in Westbury, the Meadowbrook Women's Initiative, Hadassah groups and women's clubs. Marilyn puts her heart and soul into preparing her multimedia presentations.
