Explore Afro-Colombian musical traditions in an At Home conversation with Grupo Rebolu and ethnomusicologist Michael Birenbaum Quintero! The conversation will feature traditional instruments and musical styles including gaita, tambora, chalupa and bullerengue, and will include demonstrations followed by a Q&A.

Led by founders Moris Canate, Ronald Polo, and Johanna Castaneda, Grupo Rebolu is an ensemble of some of the finest Colombian musicians living in the US. Their energetic performances are rich in the musical traditions of their ancestors, and feature unique reinterpretations of traditional Afro-Colombian rhythms such as gaita, tambora, chalupa and bullerengue.
