Historic Port Washington As You've Never Seen It: 1880 - 1965

A unique presentation of historic photographs of Port Washington, updated and expanded. Christopher Bain, President of the Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society, will show more than a hundred rare photographs, postcards, maps, and illustrations of Port Washington, dating back to the 1880s when there were only a few hundred people living in town, up through the1960's, which many of us remember. Using rarely seen aerials, the images will be placed in a clearer context than ever before. If you love old Port Washington, you'll see some of the most amazing images that you've never seen.

When people ask, "what do you do?" I've always answered: I'm a photographer. Simple enough. Shooting Kodachrome "back in the day" and digitally ever since the dawn of this far-better medium, photography is what I do and who I am. For the longest time it involved wearing three distinctly different hats: Photographer, Photography Editor (of other photographer's work) and Photography Director, producing and directing photo shoots for cookbooks and craft books. This visual life has now expanded into video for compelling book trailers, stills and video from my drone, and 360-degree fully immersive panoramic tours. Obviously I 've had to make room for additional hats. It's all fun, so I suppose I'm very lucky!
