David Bromberg has been called "the reason man created stringed instruments." A sensitive and versatile guitar player, Bromberg's personal style reflects a lifetime of exploration and experimentation with a wide variety of musical styles. Originally formed in 1970 and dissolved in 1980 after an exhausting decade of touring, the David Bromberg Big Band reassembled in 2013 to record Only Slightly Mad, a return to his genre-bending early albums. On that album and on the current tour, Bromberg fans will find bluegrass, gospel, folk, Irish fiddle tunes, pop and English drinking songs happily coexisting in true Bromberg Big Band style.
