Barry Levitt, the former Artistic Director of the 92nd Street Y’s Lyrics and Lyricists Series put together a brand new show filled with well-known songs by lesser known African-American writers. Many jazz classics came from north of 125th Street – Ain’t Misbehavin’, Honeysuckle Rose, Sweet Georgia Brown and so many more.
