We’re eager to welcome back the Hudson Vagabond Puppets’ larger-than-life sized puppets to perform this enchanting full-scale theatrical “ballet” version of “Peter and the Wolf.” Victorian toys come to life as Grandfather, an elegant eight-foot tall gentleman, enters the scene on a high-wheeler bicycle to set the stage for this retelling of a classic story beloved for generations.

In the tradition of old traveling puppet troupes, “Brother Moon, Sister Rain” includes lively original music and inspires audience participation.  The story is enacted by a huge Sun with movable mouth and eyes and a cast of large animated rod puppets.  When Sister Rain becomes jealous of Brother Sun and stops watering the earth, Mother Nature and the audience must join forces to save the day.
