DESCRIPTION

St. Louis Blues is a 1958 American film broadly based on the life of W.C. Handy. It stars Nat “King” Cole, Pearl Bailey, Cab Calloway, Ella Fitzgerald, Eartha Kitt, amongst other jazz and blues greats. The film’s soundtrack used over ten of Handy’s songs including the title song performed by Ella Fitzgerald in a cameo.

Doors open at 1:30 pm for tea and refreshments. Showtime: 2 pm. No tickets or reservations required.
