Arshay Cooper: Sugawater
A Conversations from Main Street event
Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 7 pm
DESCRIPTION

Arshay Cooper's life is a study in determination, discipline and the power of sports to overcome extreme life challenges. His recent memoir, Sugawater, tells a very personal story that resonates with youth and adults alike. The captain of the first all-black high school rowing team on the Westside of Chicago, Arshay literally rowed for success. A Benjamin Franklin award-winning author, US Rowing Golden Oars winner and motivational speaker, Arshay was also a chef for WWE, Warner Bros, and Blackbird.

Conversations from Main Street welcomes Arshay Cooper, as he speaks of his own experiences, in an evening that will engage and challenge students and parents, whether athletes or not.

His book will be available for purchase.

Presented in conjunction with Friends of Port Rowing and the PiT at Landmark.

Free admission to all Conversations from Main street is made possible by a generous underwriting grant from the Angela & Scott Jaggar Foundation.
